Although the permanent lining castable of the intermediate ladle does not directly contact with molten steel, the environment for its use is still very harsh. The temperature of the intermediate ladle rises sharply during the baking and receiving of molten steel, and the temperature decreases rapidly after the end of continuous casting, so the castables are subjected to the thermal stress caused by rapid cooling and heating repeatedly; in the injection area where the molten steel stays for the longest time, the slag line part of the working layer is often seriously eroded, and the castables in this part are also subjected to the slag's erosive effect;
According to the use characteristics of the permanent lining of the intermediate package, the castables produced by our company adopt the micro-cracking toughening mechanism; optimize the matrix composition, as well as the steel fiber reinforcement and explosion-proof and anti-cracking design; and add special thermal shock stabilizers. The produced castables are characterized by excellent performance and long service life.
