The temperature of the intermediate ladle rises sharply during the baking and receiving of molten steel, and the temperature decreases rapidly after the end of continuous casting, so the castables are subjected to the thermal stress caused by rapid cooling and heating repeatedly; in the injection area where the molten steel stays for the longest time, the slag line part of the working layer is often seriously eroded, and the castables in this part are also subjected to the slag's erosive effect;
